"Existence is the eternal dance of abstract geometry, flowing and churning with intimate grace through seasons of order and chaos, creating the play of outward expression so that consciousness may observe itself."
Rhonda Havlock is an artist whose career spans over three decades, encompassing traditional and non-traditional mediums such as oils, acrylics, watercolors, pen, ink, and colored pencil, as well as graphic design. Deeply inspired by visionaries like Wassily Kandinsky, Piet Mondrian, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Joan Miró, her work captures the dynamic interplay of shapes, symmetry, and the organic emergence of complex structures from spontaneous beginnings.
Her signature series, Abstract Geometry, is rooted in Abstract Expressionism and features intricate hand-drawn compositions on Bristol paper. Using a variety of mediums—including pen, ink, graphite, acrylic, metallic paints, and colored pencils—her works serve as a meditative exploration of form and motion. Other collections, such as Silhouettes and Paper Dolls, further reflect her versatility and evolving artistic vision. Notably, the Bettie Page Private Collection, a limited-edition, all-art trading card set released in 2011, included work from the Paper Dolls series, celebrating the legacy of the iconic Bettie Page with contributions from over 100 artists.
In addition to her independent creations, Havlock has collaborated extensively with artist Joey Havlock to develop innovative concepts. Projects like Popademic—a Pop Art and spirits fusion featuring original paintings on wine and champagne bottles—and GnomePOP, a vibrant reimagining of gnomes, jesters, and mushrooms brought to life with cutting-edge technology, showcase their shared creative vision. Together, they have also explored the bold world of Thunk Life, celebrating the art of throwing knives through themed designs and striking visuals.
Each endeavor reflects her commitment to fostering spaces for reflection, curiosity, and discovery, inviting viewers to experience the profound beauty of abstraction as a mirror to their own consciousness.
